Our Top 3 Nursing Sports Bras

I have been nursing a baby or pregnant for the past 6+ years, so I have had my fair share of experience with nursing sports bras!

I LIVE in sports bras; I prefer to wear some sort of bra (sorry, these nips are secured) but I am not a fan of normal bras either, so my preference is to wear a sports bra most of the day in addition to my workouts.

Here are my top 3 favorite nursing sports bras that you can wear both during maternity AND postpartum!

Our Top 3 Nursing Sports Bras

The things that I consider when buying a sports bra include:

  • How easy is it to nurse my baby in
  • How supportive is the sports bra for workouts (particularly higher impact like running and jumping)
  • How comfortable is the bra to wear during workouts and for leisure wear
  • How affordable is the bra (if you’re postpartum, you know how often you need to change your clothes)

1. The Cheapest Option

This is a nursing sports bra I found on Amazon back in 2017 and it has been one of my favorite workout bras!

The bras last YEARS too!  I just finally had to replace the first ones I’ve purchased in 2017 (it’s 2023 now) and I’ve been using these bras nonstop since then!

Why you’ll love this bra:

  • The price!  This bra is usually on sale on Amazon, ranging from about $18-25 USD!
  • The support: it is so supportive!  I can run in this bra.  My pre-pregnancy bra size is 36B, and I can run with my breastfeeding size comfortably.
  • The pads are sewn in!! If you know, you know!  Nothing worse than pulling the bra down and then the inserted pad getting all crumbled.  So now you’re spending 10 minutes trying to unroll the pad.

2. The Most Supportive Option

The Love and Fit nursing sports bras are amazing!  They are on the more pricey side, but in my opinion, are worth it!

The fabric quality is great; they are durable.  I’ve had a few for about 3 years and they are still in excellent condition.

The strappy back pattern is really cute too!  Sometimes I find nursing bras can be super bulky.  So, when I found a nursing sports bra that had a cool design, I was all for it!

Why you’ll love this bra:

  • Super supportive! This bra is the most supportive of the three options.  There are more layers to the bra, so it is my preferred bra to run or jump in.
  • Easy to nurse in.  The pads can be removed (which is my preference) and the layers are easy to fold down to nurse.
  • Several options!  There are so many options available depending on your bra size and feeding preference.  There are pumping-specific options too!
  • High-quality fabric!  These last a LONG time!  The fabric is soft and feels good against your (and your baby’s) skin too.

3. The Most Comfortable Option

If you don’t need a ton of support, the Bao Bei bralette was my favorite maternity bra to wear for workouts and it is a great nursing bra postpartum!  This one is really comfortable to wear, so I like to wear this one most of the day in addition to workouts.

This bra does have thinner straps, so it may not be quite as supportive for someone with larger breasts.  But Bao Bei does have a bralette option that has thicker straps.

Why you’ll love this bra:

  • Really comfortable!
  • No clips or buckles!  Pull down to nurse
  • Great for maternity and postpartum!
  • Fabric stretches easily to accommodate a rapidly changing breast and rib cage size.
  • My favorite bra for prenatal workouts!
