Prepare for Birth: Hip Opening Prenatal Yoga Flows
Our prenatal yoga classes emphasize preparation to create space in the pelvis. One thing that may contribute to a labor stall is an inability to find certain movement patterns in the pelvis.
Each level of the pelvis opens in a different way:
- The top of the pelvis opens with wider knees
- The middle of the pelvis opens with more asymmetrical movement patterns
- The bottom of the pelvis opens more with knees in, and ankles out.
We incorporate yoga poses that emphasize these three main movement patterns to support your preparation for birth!
